Artwork Submission Guidelines                                              Up

The Artwork Museum was established to track which pieces of original TSR artwork remain in existence, as well as display these pieces for everyone to see.

The artwork must meet the following guidelines:

  • Original art only -- no prints, lithos, etc.
  • Appeared as a cover painting or an interior illustration on/in a TSR D&D item published prior to, and including, 1989.  This mirrors the scope of The Acaeum, and is commonly defined as "1st Edition" products
  • Appeared as a cover painting on a TSR D&D item published after 1989, up to present date
  • You must be the current owner of the artwork in order to submit

If your artwork meets the above criteria, please submit it to us!  What we're looking for:

  • Scan or picture -- preferably, an actual picture of the painting
  • Title
  • Date of creation
  • Artist name
  • Dimensions of the piece
  • Medium and substrate (oil on canvas, pencil on onionskin, etc)
  • Scan of artwork from the TSR-published piece, if not already on The Acaeum
  • Other publishing history (anywhere the artwork has appeared in print)
  • Current owner (your name)
  • Provenance (history of ownership, if you know it)
  • Price paid
  • Trivia about the piece itself, its creation, artist's comments, etc

Of course, all information is purely optional, if you do not wish to reveal certain details.  We'll work with whatever you submit to us.  Submissions, as usual, should be sent to [email protected].

If you have any questions about whether your artwork qualifies, please ask before sending:  [email protected].
