Following on a brief note in the Acaeum's page on the revised Expert set, regarding corrections in the Rulebook...

“A few changes, notably the saving-throw matrices and Thief Skills progression table brought in-line with the Companion and later sets.”

I went through the books side-by-side, noting and taking photos of the differences, and posted it on my blog.

Which BECMI D&D Expert Rulebook do you have?

Thought it would be of interest to the folks here. Also for additions or corrections as well.

Great stuff Wayne! I really appreciate the detail you provided. As one who is obsessed with identifying printings and their differences this kind of information is a lot of fun.

Cheers,
Curt

I have 2 of the later Expert sets:
Expert Set (Revised) (with errata sheet)        1985        5th
Expert Set (Revised)        1989        6th
Not sure how I got the dates from my list (can't get to the actual box sets at this time) though the errata sheet was not this inclusive of changes.

I've don't recall ever seeing an Expert errata sheet. Maybe I didn't recognize it for what it is? What does the sheet look like?

The dates... sometimes the flyers have dates, if you feel like you have an unaltered set. Or the box date code.

This was taken from the Tome of Treasures site.  Edit: And now I think I see where I got the one date.

All these years, and I've never seen that! Fantastic.

EDIT: Updated post with a note re: errata sheet at the bottom.
