T1 Village of Hommlet by Gary Gygax

The sequel was delayed for many years, and finally released as supermodule T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil rather than the originally-planned "T2".  Even before the T2 decision, module codes WG1 and WG2 were assigned to Village of Hommlet and Temple of Elemental Evil respectively, but were dropped for unknown reasons (thanks to Ian Malcomson for this info). 

T1-4 contains an abbreviated (and slightly updated) version of T1 Village of Hommlet.

Printing Information

Some contributors have reported 3-hole-punched versions of these modules.  TSR seems to have done this at random intervals with several different early modules; the presence (or lack of) 3-hole punching is not, by itself, indicative of a different printing.

• First (1979):  Monochrome.  Wizard logo, no ISBN.

• Second:  Monochrome.  Wizard logo.  ISBN on back cover bottom left.

• Third:  Monochrome.  Wizard logo.  ISBN on both front and back cover bottom left.  Thanks to Scott Cordiner for the scan.

• Fourth (1981):  Light green color cover.  TSR Face logo on front cover, Wizard logo on cover of interior booklet.  ISBN on front cover bottom left.

• Fifth:  Light green color cover.  TSR Face logo on front cover, Wizard logo on cover of interior booklet.  ISBN on front cover bottom left.  "All Rights Reserved" phrase added next to copyright dates on cover.  (Thanks to Michael Deaton for this info).

• Sixth:  Light green color cover.  TSR Face logo on front cover and interior booklet.  ISBN and Product Number on front cover bottom left.  "All Rights Reserved" phrase next to copyright dates on cover.  On last page, bottom of map is towards the spine.  Thanks to Scott Cordiner for the scan.

• Seventh:  Identical to Sixth, but on last page, map is inverted (top towards the spine).
