This is the nicest TSR fun find I've had I a while, minty mods, hardcovers with crinkly spines and without a previous owners name or colouring...  And a bunch of shrink :). Local pick up, I'm very happy!

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Sure here's the story,

I connected with the seller through an eBay local pick-up... he told me he found this box-full of books at a garage sale - for 20 bucks!

So he did ok reselling them to me at an astounding multiple.  But I am super pleased to have found these in such great shape.

I'm planning to rip open Forbidden City and have a game with the kids and those crinkly fresh rulebooks.  Party like it's 1983 :)

Instead of ripping that open how about I send you a used copy and give you money for the shrink one :)

Here's hoping it's one of those easy remove stickers.

It is, but the HPBs in my area also use cheap-ass small price stickers that have left sticky goo on many a collectible. Those I scrape off with a curved knife blade, followed by removing the gum with a pencil eraser.

Long time between Fun Game-store Finds  I happened across these two yesterday, and am super pleased to have finally picked up first prints!

Just found a brand new copy of Rules Cyclopedia for $20. Slightly bent corners, but otherwise perfect.

So one of my crews is painting the local gaming store and I was there talking to the owners, when they mention they just got mint copies of the original cover 1e Monster Manual, Players Handbook, and Dungeon Masters Guide.  Snarfed them up for $9.95 each.   8)  This will make my fourth complete set of mint to near mint books.  Didn't need them, but how could I pass up a deal like that?
