I suppose the dramatic drop off in production could be explained as 'because Covid', and I suppose if you get on the wrong side of the mob, it's not like you didn't know what you were getting into to, and you only have yourself to blame. So companies were acting in their own best interests, lest they suffer at the hands of the mob too.

By that same logic though, a policeman who is hung out to dry knew what he was getting into in an arrest scenario, and a shop owner knows what he's getting into when he sets up a business. They are all notches on the same wedge of the mob deciding who should be punished based on their own judgement without evidence. If we sit back and accept the thin end of the wedge, it only then needs to be pushed and we can all live happily ever after in a socialist utopia where the people know best.

Cool, there it is!  I didn't know the significance of this chapter.  If anyone is still looking for a copy of Better than any Man, I have a couple for sale - just pm me.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Well that tells me the PDF is not the same as the hardcopy. Different layout. So for PDF collectors, its a lot cheaper, but you may be missing stuff if you don't collect hardcopies (and also your PDFs don't go up in value. PDFs are consumables. Real products are collectables, especially when the print runs are small.

No idea.
It's available PoD, so unless the two bookmarks denote the special super-duper kickstarter limited edition with the shit mapwork that no-one could use which was why they had to re-do the maps and republish, I have no idea. I'm guessing this is a genuine early car crash edition and not the generally available PoD version. As a piece of atmospheric gameplay, it is pretty well written IMO, and something I dip into from time to time.

Ok, it is a nice module, worth to be owned and played... But is there any reason for this bid war? Afaik there is a limited edition with a variant cover and it is not this case...

I don't see a ton of those pop up lately. It seems like it's getting harder to find. It had a decent size print run but rumor at the time was a lot of shops were either destroying them or hiding them behind the counter so who knows how many actually made it to circulation.

That seems to be the last in the series, but not on DrivethruRPG. Anyone know if LotFP are still selling hardcopies?

He's a guest at North Texas RPG Con set to happen in a few weeks, and I understand he'll have a booth (for sales).  I'm imagining hard copies, but I don't know what he's selling or if my memory is correct.  I was able to join one of his games, so hopefully I'll remember to inquire if a booth was only a figment of my imagination.   8)

I know they were selling physical products at Gen Con last year (hard/softcovers).

They have their online stores too:

LotFP US Webstore

Lamentations of the Flame Princess

Typically a purchase comes with a physical and PDF version.

This past Saturday at NTRPG benjoshua and I played in a LotFP game run by Raggi himself. He did have a dealer table full of printed modules and rulebooks in the main dealer area. This was my first time playing LotFP and I don't have much comment on the ruleset but Raggi ran a very creative and vividly described adventure for us. Unfortunately I had to miss the last 30 minutes as there was a slight overlap with the auction. I did stop by his table Sunday to apologize for having to leave early and I picked up the core rulebook from him, it was the last core rulebook he had brought for sale (9th printing/3000 copies print run if anybody is curious about where he is at) and the stacks of his adventures books seemed pretty depleted from when I had walked by earlier in the Con.

I also had a great time in his game.   I was able to pick up some of his products for sale. Not included in this photo is an additional copy of Scenic Dunnsmouth that I bought for my son Joshua.

Here's a photo from our game:
