Being a Tolkien fan and complete gaming geek, I purchased a MERP piece from a local shop a while back.  It is Arnor: the Land #2023 still in shrink.  A cool piece actually, does anybody have any clue as to what a good asking price might be? Too bad ICE went defunct.

Last I heard, Iron Crown was still in business, especially considering they still produce RoleMaster, SpaceMaster, and HARP.  However, their license to produce MERP did go bye bye, which is a bit unfortunate.  I always thought that the reduced complexity compared to RoleMaster made it a better game.

I'll have to read through my copy of HARP though.  I'm sure in the ten or so years since the MERP second edition collector's volume was released (and bought by me), ICE has learned a few things in the streamlining rules department, i.e. HARP.

Court of Ardor is one of the more valuable and infrequently offered ones.  According to the "white ape's" records, one sold for $91 in 2004.
But without the map, I wouldn't touch it, as you'll just be looking for another one with the map after buying one without the map.

I sold my collection of MERP modules, including a nice Court of Ardor some six months ago, and it alone went for the equivalent of 65$.
It had - if I remember well - around 15 bids

Yeah

I have a great copy (without map) which I picked up for £2.50 but I want one with a map. I thought I would sell one to finance the other and make up the difference.

How often do they appear?

I tried registering over there and it objected to every single one of my email addresses, including my ISP's address. Yet there seems to be no link over there to ask someone to look at it!

EDIT: Finally found the contact information.  It seems that unless you have a really obscure email address, it's going to get trapped by the site's spam protection system, which equates to a royal pain in the ass to register for a site that wants to support a very popular genre.

Well done! I thought I was finished then discovered there were two major variants of Rohan and Isengard. I'm still missing two items (if I recall correctly) - 1st edition combat screen and Arnor - the realm. But then there's LotR adventure game and the solitaire books and all the foreign language editions...

The box I bought in 1986 had a green gem & a red gem D20 (numbered 0-9 twice), & a cover illo with figures holding up torches.
