What I dimly remember of the spell was that it created a pair of boots on the caster's feet that ran him home without his needing to pay attention to what was ahead or even if he was alive. The corpse would just keep going until it got there, possibly had limited access to another plane to bypass barriers. I'm seeing a picture of someone's lower half running with gore flying off behind from the severed waist.

There was a second spell I thought was in the same book, but later found in The Tome of Mighty Magic, so they may have been on the game store shelves about the same time.
