Too rich for my blood.  I'm going to query EGG to see what we can learn about this early book....

I know that there was another copy sold on Ebay. I beleive it went for about $50-60. It is also mentioned on a few TSR items from that era.

A fool and his money..........this comes up often enough that $200 is a just plain stupid bid. Good for the seller.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

I'm glad to hear that WoM comes up semi-often---I don't recall seeing one before on eBay....

I like the old-school cover of Warrior of Mars! Simple but evocative. Makes you wonder what or where the Martian is pointing to. The layout is very much like the D&D booklets and the red color is a really nice touch. Almost like a "lost" supplement! I believe there were some references to Barsoomians in the original set....

There's a fairly detailed review of this product at The Museum of Roleplaying Games:

Warriors of Mars Review

They also have detailed reviews of Empire of the Petal Throne, Metamorphosis Alpha, Traveller, and early D&D and AD&D products, among others.

What a beautiful idea! I have already bookmarked the URL.

About ther $ 199, I'm repeating myself but the right price for an item is the price somebody is willing to pay for it.
