Well, Burnie, bid just over $300 and was outbid by 2 people. Yep, that is pretty out there...... Might be time to sell mine.
If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Burntwire put in a bid of only $84...only Sleauth and fantasymuseum pushed up to $300.

They must have a lot of money to burn. Don't think I've ever seen a Misty go for that high before! I wonder if they got caught up in the bidding...

My mistake, I misread the bid times. It IS a fairly rare item, but $300? Pretty tapped.......... My spare went for $200 last year and I thought THAT was pretty high!

I must be getting old and grumpy, but I did not read past the first two pages of 14pt multicolored ranting about payment. I guess it is a brave new world out there and politeness has no place in it.

McDuff has a good point. I tend to avoid sellers who presume a transaction might go bad even before it has begun with threats and warnings. It's akin to a self-fulfilling prophecy, and just bad marketing practice since it seems to turn off potential bidders.
Though, hey, this seller got a small fortune for Misty Isles....

Hi All,
one thing to remember (although I am not sure if its relevant in this case), is the "plunging dollar" effect on the exchange rate.
A while ago that Misty Isles at $305 would have cost a UK buyer about £215. Today its £165. Quite a difference.
Anything priced in Dollars is looking quite reasonable at the moment.

Don't shout this too loud. There seems to be a large section of UK collectors who are blissfully unaware of the effect of the current exchange rate on USA wins and the availability of the $9

Global Priority envelope (which is a multi-module sized godsend).
Given the size of the market, it is often easier as well as cheaper to have stuff shipped over from the USA than to buy it locally.
