JASMINE: BATTLE FOR THE MID-REALM CARD GAME

Cool item!

Reminds me of the Sqwyrm (sp?) game I picked up a few years back. It is a triangular card game where you play cards to build a dragon, fight knights, and capture princesses. It was advertised in Dragon Magazine in the early eighties and was produced by Top Secret's designer Merle Rasmussen. It might have had Sutherland artwork too. Can't remember.

Does anyone (Paul or otherwise) have any details about this card game?  My curiosity has been piqued!

I remember seeing that game, probably at a convention (Origins or Gencon) but that is about it.

The name is familiar...funny how things like that have disappeared into obscurity...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Check out the Dragon Magazine Issues 56-76 or so. I looked for the add for it (issues 31-56) but can't find it. I got tired of looking.

It was available at GenCon XII and produced by GAME ROOM PRODUCTIONS, Ltd. out of Minden, Iowa - Merle Rasmussen's game design company. The same card set was used to create Beasties - a similar build your mutant dragon/wurm game. They used the Sqwurm boxes and turned them inside out, putting a new sticker label on it. Both games had an 8.5"x11" rules sheet with it. The boxes were yellow and white with a dragon on the cover or possibly a knight with a lance.

Paul

I'm out, so if any of you want this, go for it (not that I think me being in would necessarily stop you from bidding...) ;)
