Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I'm sincerely confused as to these two magazines. So far as I've gathered, they were both JG fanzines that eventually merged and then were cancelled altogether, yes? Is there a list of what magazines existed, and does anyone know why there were more than one from JG? There was also Pegasus, right? What were the differences? Curious about the history there.

Thanks for any and all info!

Dungeoneer was started by Jaquays as a fanzine, then sold to Judges Guild. The Journal was started by Judges Guild from the beginning of the company, they included them with their installments. Then yes they merged them and then cancelled them for Pegasus magazine. Pegasus included a campaign aid/adventure in the center.

Thanks much for the info! Those Pegasus issues are tough to find--I only have one. But the earlier issues of the Journal and Dungeoneer are a little more plentiful, oddly.

I looked earlier and I think all issues of Pegasus are available on EBay at the moment .The fanzine issues of The Dungeoneer come up occasionally but are massively overpriced IMHO. The Journal you have to watch out for people selling modern photocopies of the early issues.
