I am back in Australia for two weeks for my first R&R home from Afghanistan.

Hopefully I will formally submit my thesis this Friday and that will be the end of it. After that all my free time will be back on the wiki.

I have been in touch with grubbiv and know what needs to be done. So hopefully I'll be in touch soon.

I started a one year contract there in May and get to come home two weeks every two months (I actually work in drug control!).

The work has been intense and I have been using every spare moment to finish my PhD. It is possible I can finally formally submit this coming Friday. Once that is done, my eveings and free time in Kabul will be free. The struggle in Kabul is going stir crazy as in such a high security environment, there is just work and confinement.

Once the PhD is out of the way, I will actually have plenty of free time with little distraction to work on the wiki and role play with a bunch of people here. One needs such hobbies and distractions to stay sane in the confined environment over there and to escape from the stresses of work.

At the moment the lingering PhD is the nightmare of my life - just gotta finish the darn thing - then I can start living again!!!!
